July, 2025 : Spheros Expands Operations in Suzhou, China

Spheros Group, a global leader in customized thermal management systems for the bus industry, is expanding its operations in Suzhou, China, as part of a broader strategy to reinforce its presence in key growth markets and enhance global competitiveness.

Increase production capacity and operational efficiency

The company has operated its own production facilities in China since 2006, with its Suzhou plant in operation since 2013. In 2026, Spheros will relocate the Suzhou facility to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing site within the Suzhou New District. The move will significantly increase production capacity and operational efficiency. A cooperation agreement with local authorities was signed in early July.

“This expansion marks a key milestone in the continued evolution of our global production network,” said Mark Sondermann, CEO of Spheros Group. “Suzhou plays a critical role in our international supply chain. With increased capacity and streamlined processes, we’re better positioned to support growth across Asia and strengthen our intercompany operations worldwide.”

Spheros Suzhou serves over 80 countries and is a major supplier of thermal systems for electric buses (New Energy Vehicles, or NEVs). Backed by more than a decade of local expertise, the facility has become a cornerstone of the company’s global bus-electromobility strategy.
